Methodology

Guidance on plan structure, startup costs, break-even and funding comes from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s business guide and loan pages. Credit information comes from the SBA, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and AnnualCreditReport.com. We do not publish cost figures, rates, wages, lending criteria, timelines or approval odds, because they differ by state, lender and business and change over time. Cost math lives on homecarestartupcost.com, which is also published by Home Care Agency Blueprint; this site covers the plan as a written document.

Every template prompt names its source or is marked as your own planning. The template shows counts and the totals of your own numbers, not scores.

Our conflict of interest

Home Care Agency Blueprint sells courses and coaching to people starting home care agencies. That gives it a reason to encourage you to start an agency. We try to counter that by sticking to cited sources, by saying plainly what a plan cannot promise, and by keeping sales copy off the guide pages. Each page links to our booking page in the header, in one booking section at the bottom, and in the footer.

Privacy
